A good idea can change the world - piloting the world's first self-driving ferry
The self-driving ferry has been developed by researchers and students from several subject areas at NTNU. The interdisciplinary collabration to develop milliAmpere 2 is based on the experience gained from predecessor milliAmpere, which started in 2016.
What's new in this year?

The most significant change is that human operators have been moved from the ferry to land. The autonomous ferry operates itself, with human control always within reach.
Onboard sensors assist the autonomy system

To enable the autonomous ferry to operate without human input the ferry is equipped with advanced technology.
